How exciting – last night the Community Connect Traralgon East Project supported by KSF and KSE won the award for Creating Collaborative Community Partnerships at the Victorian Early Years Awards.
The award is presented to a service or initiative that promotes collaborative practice to support and demonstrates positive outcomes for children and families.
The project, made up of 34 partners, continues to successfully demonstrate how grass roots holistic projects that are delivered with dignity and that are responsive to the target population and have local context will improve child’s health and development outcomes and better place individuals, families and communities to build on success.
Working together to build relationships with communities and supporting local residents to acknowledge the valuable contribution they make to where they live. The community looks for ways to encourage social and economy participation, raise awareness of services and supports, strengthen capacity, opportunity & inclusion, deliver key health messages improving the health and well-being of the people in the community to lead a life they value.
As families are the first teachers for their children, the community will continue to look for value adding initiatives that promote positive learning environments and support families to access services that support their journey.
In partnership, the project agencies will continue developing the Latrobe Community Connect project.
