Shaun is a life-long Gippslander who has worked closely with the communities across the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland for almost 20 years.
Beginning his professional career as a journalist at the Latrobe Valley Express, Shaun became an award-winning editor at the newspaper before taking on communication and stakeholder relations roles in the health and energy sectors.
Shaun was the community’s point of contact in a world-first study that explored the impact of the 2014 Hazelwood Mine Fire smoke event on Morwell, led the Latrobe Health Assembly’s innovative Social Marketing Team and then joined AGL Energy as its Community Relations Manager for the Latrobe Valley.
Today, Shaun is the Executive Officer of not-for-profit Kindred Spirits Enterprises and a Board Director with the Drouin and District Community Bank.
In his spare time, Shaun volunteers with a number of committees, including the Latrobe City Major Events and Tourism Advisory Group, Latrobe Health Assembly and Traralgon Olympians Soccer Club.
