Marri Tjevin Project
Through the Marri Tjevin Project, Gregor Renwick and other experienced linguists are working with the Rak Thanggarral to record Marri Tjevin words, sentences and stories to further document the language, and make language learning more accessible for new learners. The project includes recording native speakers, compiling these recordings into a dictionary, translating stories into English and creating learning resources. Workshops will be held with the Rak Thanggarral regarding future use of existing and newly created assets, enabling Rak Thanggarral ownership and platforms for access for their desired audience. The Project has received funding from First Languages Australia. We are assisting the Project with funding administration.
