Our Impact

Supporting our partners to lead and develop their social impact projects is at the heart of what we do.

Because every community is unique, our focus is broad and flexible – from education to mental health, to social and environmental regeneration. Backed by a trusted network of experts and supporters, we’re here to help turn local ideas into lasting change.

Active Partnerships

These are the projects we’re deeply involved in – working side by side with our partners through auspicing, funding support and hands-on project development.

The Artichoke
The Artichoke is a new entry into the heart of Yarram – part bookshop, part games store, part gift shop and part welcoming “third space” where locals can gather, create, and connect. It is a catalyst for connection, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Past Partnerships

These are projects we’ve proudly supported in the past, but that have since come to a natural close or no longer need our involvement.

Traralgon East Revitalisation Project
Kindred Spirits Enterprises worked with the people of Traralgon East to build a sense of community and improve access to services and programs, particularly in health and wellbeing, and education and livelihoods. A strategy was developed out of a community survey in 2020 that continues to take the Traralgon East community toward these goals.
Early Language & Literacy - Latrobe Valley Project
In 2018, Kindred Spirits Enterprises supported a local rollout of a program developed by the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation, that aimed to improve the language and literacy of at-risk children aged 0-8 years. ‌To accomplish this, 31 local educators attended skill-building workshops and completed an accredited Certificate IV course, supported with resources and ongoing mentoring.
Val-You Reading
Val-You Reading helped Latrobe Valley children become strong and confident readers, writers and learners through literacy initiatives. Resource kits, training and links to relevant programs were provided to local educators thanks, in part, to a grant from the Latrobe Health Assembly.
Yowengarra Bun Wurrung Balug Clans Aboriginal Corporation
Kindred Spirits Enterprises partnered with the Yowengarra Bun Wurrung Balug Clans (YBWBC) in the Bass Coast region of Victoria to provide relief for First Australians experiencing challenges like poverty, sickness, destitution, helplessness and distress. We worked with the YBWBC Board in areas including planning, pilot program design, funding relationships and general governance.
Literacy Production Centre
The Literacy Production Centre in Wadeye, south of Darwin, helps local children with language and cultural learning. Kindred Spirits Enterprises worked with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College to support long-term LPC team members with their Vision Project.
Native Botanicals
Kindred Spirits Enterprises partnered with the ARC Centre’s Uniquely Australian Foods Centre on key projects in northern Australia, in which First Nations entrepreneurs and communities are building a native botanicals industry. They also supported the establishment of a native botanicals focused, completely Indigenous owned and led Co-operative: ‘Bushtukka and Botanicals Indigenous Enterprises Co-operative’.
